The 7th Annual Meeting of the Asian Paleolithic Association
In Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Discovery of Seokjang-ri Paleolithic Site, Gongju, Korea

Dear APA members and other colleagues,

In behalf of the presidium of the Asian Paleolithic Association (APA), the Korean Paleolithic Society is pleased to announce that the Seventh Annual Meeting of the Asian Paleolithic Associatin will be held in the city of Gongju, Korea, between November 12 and 16, 2014. The conference plans to commemorate the discovery of the site of Seokjang-ri in Gongju city, the first paleolithic site known and excavated in the Republic of Korea. While details will follow in due course, please feel free to share information in this announcement with other colleagues. Everybody who is interested in paleolithic research in Asia is cordially welcome.

4. Call for Papers

If you are to present your paper for the conference, please inform the organizing committee your proposed title of the paper using the REPLY FORM attached by December 31, 2013.

English abstracts are expected to reach the Organizing Committee by March 1, 2014. The abstract must be prepared with Microsoft Word 2003 or 2010. There is a limit up to 500 words for the abstract including the title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation and email address. Family name should appear in capital letters.

5. Registration Fee

The registration fee for the conference participant is USD $ 250 per person, which will include accommodations and meals for the conference period, conference kits and transportation service from/to the airport. Fee for the accompanying person will be USD $ 150 per person. Accommodation is double occupancy. For those preferring single occupancy, there will be an extra charge of USD $ 50 per night.

The schedule and the post-conference excursion fee will be decided when the number of participants and destination(s) are decided. We expect to post the details in the third circular which will be distributed around May 1, 2014. Persons who are interested in joining the excursion are kindly asked to return the attached reply form as soon as possible.
